Rock and Brush Grapple, also known as the skeleton rock grapple, is the right grapple for heavy lifting and picking up individual objects. It features a rock bucket that has two grapples, each with a 3,000 PSI cylinder, that work independently to grab objects using 3/8“ grade 50 steel tines spaced 3” apart. The thickness of each tine, along with narrower spacing between them enables dirt to fall through while holding onto the larger fragments of material so you only pick up what you want. The 1/2” Grade 50 hardened steel cutting edge provides additional strength to the bucket making it incredibly durable even on the toughest jobs.

Clam Grapple or Dual Clam Grapple, also known as the rake grapple or sometimes referred to as a root grapple, is the right grapple for picking up large piles of debris. Both the Clam and Dual Grapple have large capacity skeleton grapple that allows you to move massive piles of brush. Both the single and dual clam grapple are built heavy with all grade 50 steel, featuring a large 52″ bite, both grapple is equipped with two 3,000 PSI hydraulic cylinders and has a serrated tooth design for serious clamping power. The replaceable digging teeth make this a popular grapple because of the incredible versatility it offers on the job site.

The most versatile grapple attachments for skid steer is the Rock and Brush Grapple. The Rock and Brush Grapple has features like bolt-on removable side plates, 3 inch tines spacing and independent grapple that set it apart from the rest. When you leave the grapples open, you actually have a rock bucket that allows you to clean debris and only leaves dirt. You can leave the side plates on and use it as a bucket or you remove the side plates and it allows more compacity so you can move long tree and other large objects.

There are various options available for rock and brush grapples or skeleton rock grapple. Prime Attachments offers three different options, the Commercial, Heavy Duty and Standard Duty. The Commercial Grapple, the most popular of the three, is the biggest most badass rock and brush grapple weigh in at 980 to 1175 Ibs. depending on size. The 1/2” Grade 50 hardened steel cutting edge provides additional strength to the bucket making it incredibly durable even on the toughest jobs. The Heavy Duty doesn’t have all the features as Commercial Grapple making it little more price friendly for the hobby farmer. The Heavy Duty doesn’t have the visibility cut outs, no grapple stops and no reinforcements. The Standard Duty has the same features as the Heavy Duty is lighter in weight and is geared more towards the small skid steer or utility tractors. The Standard duty bucket is only 36 inches deep instead of 42 inches deep like the Heavy Duty or Commercial. The standard duty grapple tines are quarter inch thick unlike the Heavy Duty and Commercial which are 3/8 inch.
